After weeks of ridiculously warm weather, it’s finally blizzard season in the high plains. Kona loves snow, but yesterday’s high of eight degrees was a little extreme, even for her. And the 40-mile-per-hour wind gusts made it almost impossible to dig out of the snowy mess. (post continues below)
None of these factors kept Kona from rolling in the snow. (post continues below)
Though her chilly romp was cut short by ice balls accumulating in her fur and between her paw pads (as well as the below-zero-degree wind chill). This was the first time the ice seemed to cause her enough discomfort to interrupt playtime, which made for some funny, quite pitiful pictures. (post continues below)
But we took care of the problem and she continued tunnel through the snowdrifts until even her eyelashes were caked with ice balls. I’m sure she could have played for hours, but we decided to call it a day.

Somebody tell that poor pup she’s a Golden, not an Alaskan Husky!
